个人简介
[编辑]Jana Barnhill, DTM, AS 是 Toastmasters International 2008–2009 年度国际主席，历史上第四位女性国际主席。她于 1980 年代加入头马，曾两度打进世界演讲大赛前三（至少一次在 1996 年圣路易斯大会），1998 年获得 Accredited Speaker 认证。她与丈夫 Bob 合办培训公司 L.I.V.E. Speakers Inc.，两人曾在 1980 年代遭遇坠机事故并幸存，这一经历也塑造了她任期的主题 "The Courage to Conquer"（勇气征服）。
Barnhill 于 2002–2004 年任国际董事，2006 年当选第二副总裁，2008 年就任国际主席。任内她推动全球化治理改革 Proposal A"Global Representation and Support"——北美 8 大区扩为全球 14 大区、以 International Leadership Committee 取代 International Nominating Committee、增设区域顾问，2009 年在 Mashantucket 大会由俱乐部投票通过。任内头马会员达 250,000 人、覆盖 106 国。她与丈夫 Robert "Bob" Barnhill（1996–97 国际主席，2018 年因 ALS 去世）是头马历史上罕见的"夫妻双国际主席"。她的名言："We are just as intelligent, just as capable, just as worthy as men... we must have the courage, and the skill, to speak up."
