[编辑]Helen M. Blanchard, DTM 是 Toastmasters International 1985–1986 年度国际主席，也是头马历史上首位女性国际主席（官方历史页明文："Helen Blanchard, DTM, becomes the first woman to be International President"）。她 1970 年加入头马——当时组织仍为全男性——入会申请用 "H. Blanchard"，总部索取全名后，俱乐部在 Table Topics 环节集体给她起名 "Homer"；1973 年头马正式向女性开放后改回 Helen。她也是首位女性国际董事（1978–80）与首位女性 DTM。她在圣地亚哥 Naval Ocean Systems Center 技术信息部工作，最终管理 130 名政府雇员。
Blanchard 1985 年在哥伦布国际大会就任国际主席，任期内董事会确立俱乐部与 District 使命宣言，Golden Gavel 授予教育工作者 Marva Collins。她的座右铭是 "Commit to excellence"，名言："If you get out of Toastmasters all that there is to get out of Toastmasters, you'll never get out of Toastmasters." 2008 年她出版自传《Breaking the Ice》，2013 年 5 月于圣地亚哥去世，享年 86 岁。她曾被描述为 "soft-spoken, friendly, great listener"，是数百名头马会员的导师。
